Looking to get married in Highlands? September 04th, 2009 . Weddings

You owe it to yourself to take a look at the brand new Bascom Center for the Visual Arts. It is perfect for a stylish wedding. There is the main gallery building, with a large covered terrace, a barn, a wonderful covered bridge, creek-side pavillion, and outbuildings... there's something for everyone. They can help you host up to 400 guests! Wow. A nice addition to Highlands' wedding scene. You can get a good idea of the feel of the place when you take a look at some images I captured of Alison there this week. (Alison, you rocked it girl! And here you were worried you couldn't pull it off... ;D )

Feedback is great.... let us know what you think.

Warning: Image heavy.... I just couldn't post one or two this time. :D As a matter of a fact, there are more I wish I could share! It was such a fun, beautiful day.

Just a peek September 02nd, 2009 . Weddings

Oh. My. Gosh.

I had such a great time shooting at the new Bascom Gallery. The campus is stunning, so many places to get really wonderful pictures. My bride, Alison, did a fabulous job channelling her 'inner model'. :D She said a few times "Who WOULDN'T want to get married here??".

I have to agree, it's a perfect site for a wedding. I can't wait to finish retouching these, but here's a peek at just a couple.

Hope you enjoy!

Fun, Funky, and Fabulous June 19th, 2009 . Weddings

I was trying to wait to post this until my new blog was ready to unveil it's new 'look'....but alas, it is not yet ready and I am dying to share Nick and Elliott's wedding pictures. Their fun style, obvious love for each other and laid-back attitudes all combined to make for a wonderful weekend. I had a blast and I know their guests did as well. We were really sweating it about the weather - Highlands has been having day after day of rain showers and the clouds were still gushing forth when we woke that morning. But, as it often happens in the mountains, the rains gave way to a dry, overcast day - perfect for pictures! (Hey, it's all about the pictures, right?? :) It was so hard to pick out a few to share here on the blog, definitely check out the slideshow to see more. Just click here. If you want to see them all, just click here to go to my website. Once there, click on the Clients tab, but you'll need the password from Nick and Elliott to see the galleries. ;)

So without further ado, here they are..

(see Nick, you CAN smile!)

Nick's band, Y.O.U, gave everyone a reason to party.

If you need a wedding band, get 'em now while you still can. These guys

are gonna be famous one day soon. Check them out at pleaserock.com !

.38 Special's Jeff Carlisi took a few minutes to play with the band. Awesome!

Nick's dad even jumped in along with his drummer from his days with the Rejects.

I heard everyone say how fantastic the cake was...I will find out who did it.

Venue : the Highlands Country Club

Florist: Martha Stobbs (and crew!)

Cake: One fabulously talented baker. I will get further details as soon as possible!

Thanks to Dana Fugaro for making things go smoothly. To Wanda Drake, at Drake's Diamond Gallery,

for allowing us to use her property for Day After Pictures....it was perfect!
