Look what I'm working on..... August 26th, 2008 . Weddings

Oh my goodness, I love this couple! Randy and Samantha were so fun to photograph. I'm having the hardest time making my final selections....too many pretty things to look at and people having fun. It was a great day. Here are a few of my favorites so far....more on the way! Are these little elephants not the CUTEST things you've ever seen?? www.amitphotography.com Their programs where some of the prettiest I've seen... www.amitphotography.com I wonder how long it too her to do this? Love it! www.amitphotography.com Love me some window light! www.amitphotography.com The bride, an artist, made the cake toppers herself. www.amitphotography.com The guys had us laughing so hard that it was difficult to take pictures that weren't blurry. lol www.amitphotography.com They did this, no posing here! www.amitphotography.com Sweet. www.amitphotography.com

Tom and Nina - A Highlands Wedding Southern Style August 07th, 2008 . Weddings

This couple has been great to get to know. I love connecting with my clients and Tom and Nina's wedding was not only gorgeous, but full of very interesting details. From the story of how they came to choose the location of their wedding (Tom's family's estate, complete with a historical home built over 130 years ago by Highlands' only dentist), the story of how they met (she called the wrong brokerage office for some advice on moving her IRA...Tom was 'Broker of the Day'), his groom's gifts (clocks made out of the pistons from the Jaguar v12 engine that is the coffee-table on BBC's Top Gear - Tom is a huge car buff), to Tom's cufflinks (his great-grandfather's - the highly decorated General George H. Olmsted )....there is just so much to this couple and I enjoyed hearing all the stories. Check out the WebShow to see more! Nina is gorgeous....I love how happy she looks here. www.amitphotography The flowers were done by the incomparable Dutchman's. www.amitphotography.com This shot under the weeping willow is one of my favorite... www.amitphotography.com I teared up when I took this one, Tom seriously is smitten with Nina and it shows! www.amitphotography.com The donkeys were so sweet. www.amitphotography.com The main house is rumored to be the oldest in the county.... www.amitphotography.com Pralines were made on the premises - a must have for a truly Southern wedding... www.amitphotography.com These tents were huge! Mountain Party Tents made it all look so easy. www.amitphotography.com There were five smaller tents set apart from the main party tent to let guests get away from the noise for a little relaxation and conversation. www.amitphotography.com There were eleven foot tall iron trees drenched in flowers and candlelight.... www.amitphotography.com Ahhh, if only I had a wedding picture like this of my husband and I.... www.amitphotography.com Hassel did a great job of catching these moments. www.amitphotography.com See, he is such the smitten kitten! www.amitphotography.com Epting catering was phenomenal at making everyone happy they had attended! www.amitphotography.com Nina just glowed (here she is at the Old Edwards Inn) ..... www.amitphotography.com Now, this is one wedding where I could not do it all myself. I can not thank my second shooters enough - yep there was more than one. It was a team effort on this, Hassel Weems shadowed the groom while I was at a different venue with the bride. Jeannie Edwards was put in charge of getting some great detail shots. And my college-going assistant, Krystal, stepped in to get some valuable experience shooting weddings. Add on my husband, Tim, serving as 'pack-mule', and we were a force. As we were leaving the wedding that night we lamented the fact that we didn't have someone to take an image of all of us together - you know, Reservoir Dogs style! :) I could not have gotten it all without you guys. Thank you!!
